Who is bill fahey

Fahey became the founding director of AYS in under the principle that young people in town deserved a voice in their community. Over the course of the ensuing 27 years, AYS staff dedicated round-the-clock efforts to youth programming, volunteer events, outdoors and recreation activities, community service, concerts, arts programming and much more.

They also offered social and emotional support to young people in need, anytime, anywhere. A Go Fund Me page was created by supporters of the former staff of Andover Youth Services in recognition of their years of service to the town and to its youth.

None of the former staff were directly involved in the planning or creation of this page. Money raised will be evenly dispersed to the five former full-time staff and their families. I felt supported and safe and it was this environment created by Bill that let me thrive.

Allen concluded her speech saying the firing is a terrible loss for the people of Andover and demanded that the people who fired Fahey should be held accountable for their actions. Allen was not the only person there in support, Karen Kim, an Andover resident, spoke out at the meeting right after Allen. She demanded that the city release the full report of the accusation to the public so they can finally get some answers.

After the supporters of Fahey finished speaking, Christian Huntress, chair of the select board, addressed their questions by saying he could not answer them because the case is still under litigation and Fahey is suing town manager Andrew Flanagan.
